THE KASPERIANS is an animated series created by Casey Kasper. Cali Rossen is the voice of Simetra, who’s an intergalactic alien traveling the galaxy. The images you are about to view are from a short pilot included in the EPK (Electronic Press Kit) created to pitch the show to possible investors.

VOICE OVER ARTIST: SCIENTIST, ELEVATOR WOMAN & WALLA IN “MAGIC TIME”

Magic Time Radio Show, written & directed by Marc Scott Zicree was recorded in front of a live audience @ Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, CA. Cali played a variety of roles for the radio show: A scientist, an elevator woman & was part of the Walla group. The Walla group or ADR group produces the sound effect for the murmur of a crowd in the background. Walla is often used as subliminal aural communication and sets a mood or a tone.

PRIVATE: GIRLFRIEND: JEN IN “THE BEST ACTING GIG OF MY LIFE”

Cali plays Jen, the girlfriend of the main character in this short comedy, The Best Acting Gig of My Life. Jen’s boyfriend is an actor & has promised her many times he’s going to quit & get a real job so they can move out of the trailer into a real neighborhood. Jen hires another actress to play a Director, who hires her boyfriend in a project he thinks will be his big break. The night of his shoot all mayhem ensues & he vows to quit acting forever. . .or does he? How did he figure out Jen was in on this scheme?

PRIVATE: JANITOR: TAILS FROM THE OFFICE

Tails from the Office is a fantasy short about murders happening in an office space by an unknown source. Cali plays a janitor, who finds a couple of office workers dead while vacuuming. The janitor calls the police & when they arrive on the scene. . .the suspect is the least expected.

BORED WIFE: ROCHELLE ‘BURDEN OF ESTEEM’

These scenes in Burden of Esteem, reveal 3 days in the life of Rochelle. The photo album below videos are from the day her psychotherapist double booked an appointment & missed both, so Rochelle & the other client talk over coffee. The second day is at an audition of a racy film, and the last photo’s (are actually Rochelle’s first scene in the film) discussing an incident that happened in her house while in the care of someone she trusted.

PREGNANT WIFE: SALLY THE HANDSHAKE

In this wacky film The Handshake, Cali plays an 8 months along pregnant wife, who is going up in an elevator to meet her husband when an earthquake jolts her. Sally’s husband is on the 3rd floor & runs to the elevator door & hears Sally screaming she’s in labor. Her husband yells out I wish I could trade places with you. . .when another earth quake hits & he bumps his head. When her husband comes to. . .he’s in the elevator in her clothes in the middle of labor. . .Sally is now on the other side of the elevator in his clothes waking up from the bump on her husbands head. . .This film is a hilarious production created by Gus Diaz. Gus & Cali have collaborated on several projects. The Transport, Don’t Advertise & The Handshake.

BLIND DATE: JULIA IN CALL WAITING AWARD WINNING SHORT

Cali gives us a precarious spin on blind dates playing Julia in this award-winning short film, CALL WAITING, Directed by Roger Ramnath. The film was created for the 1st annual 168 Hour Film Festival & won several awards. Cali & her Co-Star Jeff Carter were both acknowledged for their performances with an award at the event gala.

PRIVATE: WIFE OF RUSSIAN CRIME LEADER: ELIZA MIAN TRANSPORT

Cali plays Eliza Mian, the wife of Russian crime leader, Larenzo Mian in TRANSPORT.
The Transport follows Jack, the mysterious man in a three piece suit that will deliver anything for a price, as long as you follow his rules. Rule 1, once a deal is made– it’s final. Rule 2, he delivers to only whom you specifiy, nobody else. Rule 3, he is NOT to know what he is transporting. Jack carries no weapon, as he relies on his hand-to-hand combat skills, his boldness, and the safety of his car, a emerald blue 2007 Volkswagen Passat 2.0 Turbo.

YOUNG MOM: JOY ‘THE SAND CASTLE’ WITH ED ASNER & ARTHUR YOUNG

The Sand Castle is a short film about letting go. . .of people, emotions & things. Cali plays the role of a young Mom to a delightful young boy, Arthur Young. Her husband works long hours & travels extensively to support this family. The Grandfather, played by veteran actor, Ed Asner, teaches his Grandson how to build grand sand castles, and that like all things, sand castles do not last. His main lesson to his grandson is to savor moments, and to let go of things. In the story the Grandfather asks his Grandson, “If things lasted forever would they be as beautiful?”

TALENT MANAGER: STERLING DREAM STATE

Actress Cali T. Rossen plays Sterling, a filmmaker & talent manager in Director/Writer/Producer Patrick Hyde’s DREAM STATE. Sterling writes a story & casts a few of her clients, as well as her ex beau movie star Trent Hayes, played by Tim Abell. Her film is being shot on a shoe string budget & donations from a family business. All the actresses are smitten over notorious bad boy Trent Hayes.

STARFLEET OFFICER: ENSIGN JUVENIA IN STAR TREK NV: “WORLD ENOUGH & TIME” STARRING GEORGE TAKEI

Cali wore several hats on the set of Award winning film Star Trek New Voyages World Enough & Time, Directed by Marc Scott Zicree. Cali plays the role of Ensign Juvenia, who alerts the crew that the artificial gravity has been compromised during their mission. She also played the part of creating Warrior Sulu’s wig & Alana’s beautiful hair from drawings of Iain McCaig’s.

PRIVATE: SEXY GIRLFRIEND: CRYSTAL IN PRE-PILOT “SEX & THE HOLLYWOOD QUAD”

In this pre-pilot episode of The Hollywood Quad, Crystal & Jim are recording an educational video showing others how they too can have a healthy sex life. There are no limits in the bedroom. . .or on a desk.

MOM: MRS. JACOBS EARTH DAY

Cali plays Mrs. Jacobs, a working Mom who’s conscientious son Tim wins an award for his ideas for recycling. This was the second time Cali had the pleasure of working with Director Matthew Chung.

The film EARTH DAY was created for an Earth Day contest.

JEALOUS GIRLFRIEND: CRYSTAL THE HOLLYWOOD QUAD WITH JIM TROESH, BRYAN CRANSTON & MORE

Cali co-stars as Crystal, the jealous girlfriend in this very funny sitcom pilot about the day in the life of quadriplegic actor/writer/producer Jim Troesh. It is “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in a wheelchair. As he tries to overcome the obstacles in his day, mainly his jealous girlfriend, his illegal-alien caregiver, and a clueless network exec played by two-time Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston, we quickly learn that being quadriplegic is far from being Jim’s biggest problem.
