*LOSS OF A DEAR FRIEND* JIM TROESH 1956-2011 Jim was a remarkable rare talent…but even larger than that, my friend. We were first introduced in his apartment, #222, the same room number my Mom said she stayed in when I was born. Jim was having new carpet replaced in his apartment & needed a few people to help with moving furniture around. Jim Metropole, Jim’s bestfriend, phoned me and asked if I would be available that day to assist…I said, sure. Since that day we developed a close friendship, and worked together on several film projects. Most notably THE HOLLYWOOD QUAD TV Pilot, where the scene in the video tribute below originated from. Click on link to see episode Jim wrote, directed, produced and starred in. Jim made a profound impact in my life by being an example of being extraordinary. I imagine he’s now running, riding horses & jumping out of planes!!! Jim Troesh, Hollywood’s first quadriplegic actor, writer, and producer, recently wrote, produced and starred in “The Hollywood Quad,” a sitcom pilot based on his life in Hollywood. The laugh-out-loud comedy guest stars three-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston. Jim also wrote the controversial theatrical release, “Color of the Cross” about a black Jesus, currently available on DVD. Jim was a true inspiration for many. His motto of “Never, ever, ever quit” rings very loudly with those who knew him. Rest in peace. Joe

Yes, Jim was remarkable indeed!!! He is extremely missed…I think of him all the time. We worked on THE HOLLYWOOD QUAD pilot & over the past few years became very close. Jim’s care giver gave me his favorite soft london blue blanket (it’s on my bed now). His brother David gave me Jim’s framed montage of our work together that used to hang in his entry way…the article of the show in Emmy Magazine & some snapshots from the production. It’s hanging in my living room now…and a framed photo of Jim & I laughing together one day while we were filming an episode.
